A public notification was issued by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office Monday morning in order to inform the general public that the following individual is registered with the Iowa Sex Offender Registry:

Shultz’s registration with the Iowa Sex Offender Registry is a result of a 2016 conviction for third-degree sex abuse.
Iowa Law authorizes a criminal justice agency or a juvenile justice agency to notify the community about a person required to register with the Iowa Sex Offender when necessary to protect the public.
This notification is intended to serve only as a means for the public to protect themselves, and any action taken by anyone against this person, including vandalism of property, verbal or written threat of physical harm or physical assault against the person or his family, can result in arrest and prosecution.
