Godwin contacted the ex-roommates, advising them that if criminal charges against him on another incident were dropped, he might be able to locate their computers. On Jan. 28, an officer was at the Godwin residence on an unrelated event, and the computers were present in plain sight at 303 S. Grimmell Road. The officer was given the computers by Godwin to return to the owners.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
