  • Melissa Rice reported receiving harassing text messages from a female in Jefferson. An officer contacted the female and ended the unwanted contact.
  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle, property-damage accident at the intersection of Olive and Park streets. A 2010 Kia Forte, owned by David Ausberger and being operated by Lucas Ausberger of Jefferson, was northbound on S. Olive Street. Ausberger did not yield at the uncontrolled intersection of Olive and Park streets and struck another vehicle approaching the intersection from the east on Park Street. The 2000 Jeep Cherokee was owned and operated by Janice Harbaugh of Jefferson. The Ausberger vehicle had an estimated $3,500 in damages, and the Harbaugh vehicle had an estimated $2,500 in damages. Ausberger was issued a citation for failure to yield to vehicle on right.
  • Vickie Williams spoke with an officer concerning a civil property issue occurring at 702 W. Mahlon St.
  • A traffic stop in the 200 block of N. Elm Street resulted in Jessica Kelton of Jefferson being issued a citation for operation without registration.
  • A traffic stop at 220th Street and Oakland Avenue resulted in Sabrina Hiller of Jefferson being issued a citation for excessive speed.
  • The Greene County Medical Center requested officers to stand by while a patient was advised he was being involuntarily committed. No action was needed by the officers.
  • Officers assisted the Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 400 block of N. Cedar Street.
