- During a routine traffic stop at 900 E. Highway 30, an officer arrested a passenger in the vehicle who had an outstanding arrest warrant. Matthew David Blair, 38, of Scranton was arrested on a Cass County warrant for possession of controlled substance/methamphetamine–aggravated.
- Katelin Lowmiller requested an officer at 504 S. Walnut St. for a civil property dispute occurring with an ex-boyfriend.
- The Jefferson U.S. Postal Service office contacted an officer concerning a dog in the 400 block of E. Harrison Street that was menacing a postal carrier. The officer made contact with the animal’s owner at 405 E. Lincoln Way. The animal was returned to the owner with a verbal warning for at-large prohibited. The officer also gave the owner a time period to comply with animal licensing.
- Anna Snizek requested a welfare check on a dog in the 200 block of E. Wilcox Way. The officer determined the animal was fine but gave the owner a time period to have the animal licensed.
- Joseph Gliem reported receiving a scam call. Someone claiming to represent the Publisher’s Clearing House told him he won $30,000, but he needed to send $399 to collect the prize. Gliem ended the call and did not incur a loss.
- A Greene County Deputy Sheriff asked a Jefferson officer to check on a vehicle on the side of the road on Iowa Highway 4 near 210th Street. The vehicle was not located by the officer.
- Officers assisted the Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 1000 block of W. Adams Street.
- A traffic stop was performed at Brackett and S. Oak streets that resulted in Brock Mason Louk being issued a citation for dark windows.
- A traffic stop was performed at Chestnut and E. Lincoln Way that resulted in Stephen Aurther Molle being issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign and careless driving.
