March 3, 2017

  • B. J. Adams reported a suspicious vehicle following her around the area of the square.
  • An officer checked on a business alarm activation at 300 American Ave.
  • Jennifer Ashby requested officers at 108 E. Central Ave., #66, for a man refusing to leave the residence. The officer assisted in helping the male gather some items and leave.
  • An officer arrested Michael Jason Godwin from 303 S. Grimmell Road on an active Dallas County arrest warrant for probation violation.
  • An officer assisted the Juvenile Court Officer in gathering a urine analysis collection kit from a juvenile at the courthouse.
  • Kaleb Silbaugh reported numerous vehicles running the posted stop sign at Cedar and Russell streets.
  • An officer investigated a theft of services reported at 702 W. Mahlon St. The water service was shut off at the residence, but water workers noticed service was turned back on by the tenant. Charges are pending at this time.
  • A caller reported a vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road on 220th Street and had pulled into the Redwood Motel. An officer made contact with the male driver, who advised he had just got out of a Fort Dodge hospital and was extremely tired. The subject showed no signs of impairment.

March 4, 2017

  • Karah Brown met an officer at the Law Enforcement Center and reported she was assaulted by a known male at 500 S. Maple St. An officer is investigating.
  • Freedom Ore reported she was assaulted by a known male at 309 N. Oak St. An officer is investigating.
  • An anonymous caller reported a suspended driver on N. Elm Street.
  • An officer assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of W. Adams Street.
  • Julie Smith reported a dog running freely in the 500 block of E. Garfield Street. An officer spoke to the animal’s owner.
  • Katrina Butler reported a car illegally parked near a fire hydrant in the 400 block of S. Maple Street. An officer knew the vehicle had mechanical issues and called the owner to remove it from the roadway.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County EMS with a medical call in the 300 block of S. Walnut Street.
  • An officer was told a vehicle was illegally parked in a handicap parking spot at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The vehicle was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
  • Officers arrested Nastassia Chanel Goff, 32, of Jefferson at the Wild Rose Casino. Goff had outstanding Jefferson Police Department arrest warrants for interference with official acts and obstructing prosecution of defense. The charges stem from an assault investigation from Jan. 27 at 702 W. Mahlon St. Goff lied to officers about the events of that evening and removed evidence from the scene.

March 5

  • Officers were advised of a disturbance occurring at 118 S. Chestnut St. The people were involved in a verbal argument and left the business before the officers arrived.
  • A caller said he was suicidal near Grimmell Road and West Lincoln Way. An officer located the man walking in the area and transported him to the Greene County Hospital emergency room to be medically evaluated.
  • Ryan Brown said his neighbor’s dog was in his yard and bothering his animal again. An officer will be issuing a citation to the neighbor for the animal at large.
  • A traffic stop was performed in the 1100 block of N. Cedar Street, resulting in Jerry Kennedy of Jefferson being issued a citation for excessive speed.
  • An officer assisted with a medical call in the 1300 block of W. Lincoln Way.
  • Heather Wuebker reported a car throwing fireworks into her yard at 200 Hill Rose Lane. The officer made contact with two juveniles and warned them to end the pranks or face criminal charges.
  • The Wild Rose Casino requested officers check on an elderly female sitting in her vehicle at 777 Wild Rose Lane. They reported she had been sitting there for several hours. An officer checked on the female, who advised she was fine and did not need any assistance.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on an animal at 304 E. Vest St. An officer spoke with the owners of the animal.
