  • An officer checked on a business alarm activation at 1603 N. Elm St. An employee accidentally tripped the alarm.
  • Desiree Lucht requested officers at 501 1/2 E. Lincoln Way for a domestic issue between her mother and her mother’s boyfriend. Officers spoke to a couple at the apartment, who advised there was no issue occurring and no assistance was needed.
  • Officers were requested at the Jefferson City Hall at 220 N. Chestnut St. for an uncooperative person paying his water bill to have the service turned back on.
  • Jack Lewis reported a stray dog in his yard at 102 N. Maple St. Am officer located the animal at its home at 602 W. Lincoln Way. The officer warned the owner about the animal running free and gave her a time period to become compliant with the animal licensing ordinance.
  • A caller reported a vehicle revving its engine loudly in the 700 block of N. Wilson Avenue. An officer spoke to a resident in the area about the complaint.
  • Sheila Goodwin reported someone stopped and talking to people in the 1000 block of W. Lincoln Way. Goodwin said they were blocking the street. The officer did not locate the vehicle.
  • Dan Ayres spoke with an officer concerning a civil property issue.
  • Kristy Burley reported she fell victim to the Social Security scam call. The caller said Burley owed a debt to the government and instructed Burley to purchase a pre-paid Visa Card, which she did. Burley provided the caller the number on the card and her date of birth and incurred a loss of $500.
  • Brittany Olson reported two stray dogs near Clark and Pinet streets. An officer located the animals and placed them in the Animal Holding Facility.
