  • Tony Sparks reported a deer was struck on 220th Street and was still alive and in the roadway. An officer could not locate the animal. A deputy located the deer near Grand Junction and dispatched the animal.
  • Officers assisted the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department with an electrical fire at 1805 N. Elm St. Minimal damage was reported.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 400 block of E. State Street.
  • Denise Johnston reported she lost her debit card at 777 Wild Rose Lane. Before she could have the bank cancel the card, it was used twice at a Jefferson business. An officer is investigating.
  • Officers assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a combative, intoxicated female in the 100 block of E. Central Avenue.
  • Marilee Kerr reported a stray dog in the 600 block of S. Vine Street. An officer located the owner and returned the dog to him.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 200 block of E. Harrison Street.
  • Junior Lopez spoke with an officer concerning a civil issue with a motor vehicle.
  • Freddie German reported the rear window was broken out of his vehicle while parked behind 803 W. Washington St. An officer was unable to determine what had caused the window to break.
  • Justin Louk reported a person was pushing a cart in the roadway in the 1500 block of N. Mulberry Street. An officer located the person and advised the person to stay off the roadway.
  • An officer spoke with a person about a vehicle parked partially in the roadway at 1100 N. Grimmell Road. The vehicle was moved.
  • Reed Larson reported a person walking in the roadway in the 1100 block of S. Elm Street. Larson said it was hard to see the person as he walked. An officer checked the area but did not locate the person.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 1000 block of W. Washington Street.
  • An officer assisted a motorist with a flat tire near Elm and Central streets.
  • Robert Heath requested an officer to check his residence in the 300 block of N. Chestnut Street for an open door. Heath was out of town and was told his door was open. An officer found the residence to be secure and advised Heath of his findings.
  • A traffic stop at Elm Street and Lincoln Way resulted in Jessica Montoya of Jefferson being issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
