August 30, 2019

  • Kris Selfors reported two individuals arguing in the 2000 block of N. Mulberry Street.
  • Officers responded to 202 W. Adams St. for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the officers found two individuals fighting in the front yard of the residence. The two individuals were identified as Juan Guzman and Christopher Lindaman. Juan Guzman, 32, of Jefferson was placed under arrest for assault-simple. During the investigation, it was found that another male at the scene, Joshua Geigle, 27, of Jefferson, had an outstanding Chickasaw County warrant for failure to appear. Geigle was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail.
  • Teresa Gaver spoke with an officer about possible criminal activity.
  • An officer assisted the Perry Police Department with an ongoing investigation.
  • An officer responded to 107 E. Vest St. for a trespassing complaint from Tosha Hickman. Thomas Oyres was at the residence and was complaining about mail that was being delivered to the property.
  • An officer responded to the Greene County Medical Center at 1000 W. Lincoln Way for an abandoned vehicle.
  • An officer responded to the 400 block of N. Wilson Avenue for a two-vehicle traffic accident. Jeannie Gustoff was backing up in the roadway in her 2011 Ford F-150 and struck the front of a 2016 Ford Fusion being operated by Amanda Carlson. Gustoff was issued a citation for unsafe backing. The Gustoff vehicle sustained an estimated $500 in damages, and the Carlson vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 in damages.
  • Kendall Griffin reported a longboard was stolen in the 1000 block of W. Adams Street with a value of $315. An officer is investigating.
  • An officer responded to 400 W. State St. for a bat in the residence.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with a driving complaint on U.S. Highway 30.
  • Donna Walterman reported a bat in her residence.
  • An officer responded to 620 S. Chestnut St. for a bat in the residence.
  • As a result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Elm Street, Frank Wozab of Dayton was issued a citation for excessive speed.

August 31, 2019

  • An officer located two individuals trespassing at Daubendiek Park.
  • An officer responded to the laundromat at 301 W. Reed St. for a male who was stuck in the bathroom. The officer was able to free the man.
  • An officer responded to the Greene County Community Center at 204 W. Harrison St. for an alarm. Everything was found to be okay.
  • An officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with lifting of a patient in the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane.
  • Shelly Hail reported returning home to her residence at 105 N. Walnut St. and finding her front door open.
  • Brianna Ferguson reported a dog running loose in the 700 block of U.S. Highway 30 East.

September 1, 2019

  • Shelly Hail reported a suspicious individual walking around her residence at 105 N. Walnut St.
  • An officer responded to 300 S. Grimmell Road for a bat in the residence.
  • An officer responded to 220th Street and Gallup Road for a dog that was struck by a vehicle.
  • Penny James reported a vehicle was stolen in Dallas Center. She was referred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office to report the incident.
  • Teresa Gaver spoke with an officer about possible criminal activity.
  • Jennie Rothfus spoke with an officer about a civil issue.
  • Teresa Gaver spoke with an officer about possible criminal activity.
  • Jennifer Ashby spoke with an officer about a civil issue.
  • Brett Meyer reported finding a loose dog by the intersection of S. Elm and W. Russell streets.
  • An officer responded to 405 S. West St. for a possible domestic issue.
  • An officer responded to 103 Briarwood Bend for a Lifeline alarm. Everything was found to be okay.
  • As a result of an investigation following a traffic stop that occurred April 27, 2019, at 11:18 p.m., an arrest warrant has been requested for Brock Igou, 19, of Carroll for possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.
