Alice Joan Schnoor, 86, of Norwalk and formerly of Perry passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in rural Bouton. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 7 from 2-7 p.m., with family present from 4-7 p.m., at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Memorials will be given to Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton and may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.

Alice Joan Schnoor was born April 16, 1932, in Perry, Iowa, to Fred and Alice Evelyn (Gideon) Vodenik.

She graduated from Perry High School.

Jo was united in marriage to Merlyn Henry Schnoor at the First Christian Church in Perry Dec. 19, 1952.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed crafting, gardening, quilting pictures and pillows and playing cards and bingo with friends.

In death she rejoins her husband, Merlyn Schnoor; parents, Fred and Alice Vodenik; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish Jo’s memory are her daughter, Evelyn Louise Schnoor, and husband, Curtis “Skip” Clemenson Jr.; son, Douglas Merlyn Schnoor, and wife, Barbara, both from Des Moines; grandchildren, Clint and Megan Clemenson and Brian and James Schnoor; brother-in-law, John Summerson; two sisters-in-law, Blanche Vodenik and Patty Vodenik; and numerous nieces and nephews.
