Memorial services for John Kinder, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., and formerly of Perry will be held Saturday, Dec. 30 at 3 p.m., with family present to greet friends beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of the service, at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry.

Memorials will be given to the family for designation later.

John Charles Kinder, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away at his home Dec. 27, 2017.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Kinder and Willa Mae Lull; and his brother, Larry Kinder.

John is survived by his loving wife, Carla, of 33 years. They were married in Perry, Iowa, Dec. 1, 1984.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carla, of Bella Vista, Ark.; brothers, Gary of Mustang, Okla., and Tom Lull of Martensdale, Iowa; and children, Robin (Bob) Burke of Perry and Shelly Weigel of Urbandale; and grandchildren, Madison (Brent) DeSchamp, Brooklyn (Kyle) Storm, Ian (Victoria) Burke, Peyton Weigel and Piper Weigel; six great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Carol Bohner of Perry; and many nieces and nephews.

John was born in Burbank, Calif., in 1943.

He graduated from Wentworth Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.

He worked several jobs throughout his career, including Armstrong Tire and Rubber, Superintendent of the Perry Cemetery, Deputy Sheriff in Grand County, Colo., Schwan’s, and most recently he was a partner in Customs Electronics.

Over the years, he owned and operated Timberline Sports Shop and KKB Gun Shop.

He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
