Services for Judy Ann Tingwald were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton. Visitation was Monday after 1 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry.

Pastor Max Phillips of the Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton provided words of comfort. Honorary bearers were Kristen Finical, Courtney May, Jered Headrick, Ryan Headrick, Dawn Tingwald, Mindy Ott and Amy Headrick.

Casket bearers were Garrett Tingwald, Jason Ott, Justin Ott, John Finical, Dan May and Kevin Meier. Kathy Wade was the pianist. Hymns chosen were “Amazing Grace” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

Interment took place at Peoples Cemetery in Bouton. A luncheon was served at the church following the services at the cemetery.

Judy Ann Tingwald, daughter of Jerry McKinley Wolf and Evelyn Margaret Free Wolf, was born Sept. 22, 1938, on a farm in Hamilton County, Iowa, and died Jan. 11, 2017, at the Eastern Star Home in Boone, Iowa, at the age of 78 years.

Judy graduated Perry High School in 1956.

She married Kenneth William Tingwald Oct. 6, 1957. They were blessed with three children, Keith, Wanda and Julie.

She lived her entire life on their farm and loved it dearly. Judy felt very blessed with her loving family and friends.

She was talented and creative, having written children’s books, of which two were published. Judy also enjoyed painting and drawing.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton, American Legion Auxiliary in Woodward and DAR Chapter DeShon in Boone.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth, in 1993; daughter, Julie, in 2004, infant sister, Elaine Wolf; brothers, David Wolf, John Wolf, Ronald Wolf and wife, Sheryl; sister, Kayneta Ray and husband, Leonard; and sister-in-law, Betty Tingwald.

Judy’s memory will be cherished by her son, Keith, and wife, Lind,a of Woodward; daughter, Wanda Headrick, and husband, Dale, of Boone; seven grandchildren, Kristen (John IV) Finical of Imogene, Iowa, Garrett (Dawn) Tingwald of Woodward, Courtney (Dan) May of Corydon, Iowa, Jason (Mindy) Ott of Ogden, Justin Ott of Ogden, Jered (Amy) Headrick of West Des Moines and Ryan Headrick of Hartford, Iowa; and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Don) Peel of Perry; sister-in-law, Loretta Wolf of Boone; brother-in-law, Duane Tingwald of Woodward; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
