Khris Robert Martin passed away on Jan. 9, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 66. Born and raised in Perry, Khris was known for his kind-hearted nature, unwavering dedication and warm presence.
Khris was born to Robert and Colleen (Levins) Martin on April 7, 1957, in Perry, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area, finishing his elective education in trade-school as an auto body technician.
Professionally, Khris worked hard his whole life. His commitment to excellence and strong work ethic earned him the admiration and respect of his colleagues and his family. Khris’s dedication to his craft was evident in every endeavor he pursued.
Khris was known for his unwavering commitment to doing the right thing. Throughout his life, he consistently demonstrated a strong moral compass and made decisions guided by integrity and fairness. Khris’s dedication to ethical principles served as an inspiration to those around him, leaving a lasting impact on the people he cherished.
One of Khris’s greatest joys in life was spending time with his children and, in particular, his grandchildren. He treasured every moment shared with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love and joy. Khris’s presence brought comfort and warmth to their lives, and his legacy as a devoted and adoring grandfather will forever be cherished.
In his leisure time, Khris enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found solace in hunting and fishing ever since he was a young man. Khris’s skills and knowledge in these activities were admired by his friends and family. Additionally, he had a knack for working on hotrods, showcasing his mechanical expertise and passion for automobiles. Riding his motorcycle brought him joy and a sense of freedom, allowing him to explore the open road.
Khris leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and integrity. He will be deeply missed. The memories shared with Khris will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.
Khris is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Louis Martin (Levins).
Left to cherish Khris’s memory is his significant other, Jancice Williams, along with her children, Isaac, Dustin and Ariel; his children, Sarah Martin, Joe Andrews, Alexis Caskey, Ashley Sims, Kylee Martin and Matthew Martin; siblings, Wayne, Shelly, Kelly, Tim, Tabby and Mark; grandchildren, Brittnie, Devin, Kelez, Andrew, Evelynn, Kylee, Conro, Cassidy, Madden and Hazel.
