Even though this year’s dinner was a little different, this year too we are very grateful to the following people for their generous donations to the Perry Community Christmas Dinner.
Tyson Fresh Meats, Hy-Vee, Perry Elks Lodge, Fareway grocery department, Dennis and Sandy Pennington, Chief Printing, Bob and Maggie Gittins, Bridgette Scott, Optimists Club of Perry, Perry Chamber, KDLS Radio, The Perry News, Fareway meat department, Dallas County Hospital, Scott Finneseth Family, John and Kathy Powell.
We are especially grateful to the First Christian Church, who gave us a generous cash donation to help with this year’s extra expenses and donated the use of their facility for Christmas Eve preparation.
Thanks to this kindness, we were able to provide drive-through and home deliveries to around 250 area residents. In addition to the Christmas Day meal, we were able to make a cash and in-kind contribution of around $500 to the local Perry Food Pantry.
We are also indebted to many individuals, too numerous to try to mention, who gave money, time, talents and food. May you be rewarded in the knowledge that your kindness benefited others. God bless you all in the new year.
