To the editor:

There’s some lingering glitter reflecting the light and a few small puffs of cotton snow that might have avoided the broom—and hopefully there’s also a lingering joyful spirit of the Carnegie’s ninth annual Festival of Trees.

Thanks to everyone who had a part in making this a successful community event—from the creative designers and decorators who filled the Carnegie with their magical displays to the multiple city staff members who helped to make it all happen and everyone in between.

The loyal supporter who made and donated quilts for our raffle, the staff making sure the set up is safe, librarians welcoming guests and more — all are critical moving pieces who made the Festival happen.

The illusion might be that we simply open the doors and invite decorators in, but there are many hands behind the scenes, working to create the illusion, and we appreciate each of them.

Thanks, too, to all the visitors who experienced the festival and encouraged others to attend.

Thanks to everyone who covered and publicized our event and helped to spread the word.

Thank you, all, and we will see you again in November 2024, when the sparkles and fake snow return.

Meanwhile, check out the exhibits and programming the Carnegie Library Museum offers year-round. Spend time among the books, history and architecture of the Carnegie. The magic and fun can be found year-round.
