When voters go to the polls Tuesday, Dec. 6, they will be asked to continue PPEL funding for a further 10 years, extending, at the same rate, a revenue stream that has been used by the PCSD for the past 10 years.

To the editor:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 6, Perry residents will be going to the McCreary Community Building to vote on renewing the Perry Community School District Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL).

This is not a new levy or tax but a vote to continue this levy for another 10 years. This levy provides for about $329,000 a year for equipment, facility upgrades and other things.

I am including an informational brochure and a list of PPEL expenditures over the last 10 years of the levy. The PPEL levy is to be renewed by vote every 10 years.

Enjoy this sunny day, and thanks for all you do for our kids!

Lynn Ubben, PCSD Superintendent
Perry
