Linda Hankinson, 70, of Paton passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. According to her wishes, Linda was cremated.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn. Memorials will be given to family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Linda Ruth Hankinson was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Perry, Iowa, to Francis Marion and Alice Leona (Carpenter) Little Sr.
She attended school at Central Dallas High School in Minburn.
She retired from the Woodward Resource Center.
Linda was a member of the Minburn United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 85 in Perry.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino, working word puzzles and reading romance novels.
In death Linda rejoins her parents, Francis and Alice; grandson, Harley James Moore; and a sister, Jean Sholley.
Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her children, David Moore of Perry, Denise (Tim Lee) Moore of Paton and Erin Hankinson of Perry; grandchildren, Alison Lee, Anthony and Jeff Moore and Jayden Roush; seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Bud (Toni) Little of Arizona, Peggy (Dennis) Grebner of Missouri, Bud (Toni) Little of Arizona, Linda Jo Small of Iowa, Nancy Smith of Arizona, LuAnn (Tim Sweet) Grove of Iowa and Jim (Valerie) Little of Louisiana.
