Funeral services for Lori Harrington, 53, of Perry will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 2-7 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Luther, Iowa, Thursday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m.
Loris passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, in Perry, Iowa.
Memorials will be given to the Perry Public Library, Raccoon Valley Pet Rescue or the family and may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Lori Kay Harrington was born Feb. 4, 1966, in Webster City, Iowa, to Robert Max and Sandra Louise (McVay) Malone.
She graduated from Woodward Granger High School and the Eastern Iowa School for Nannies.
Lori was united in marriage to Jeff Harrington in 1991 and later divorced.
She worked as a nanny for two families before working at Woodward State Hospital Day Care Center. She also worked in home day care, at the Hotel Pattee, for Home Instead Senior Care, at the Perry Lutheran Homes and lastly at the Rowley Masonic Community.
Lori enjoyed reading, working puzzles, playing card games, watching movies and being with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Lori’s memory are her parents, Robert and Sandra Malone of Perry; children, Adam Harrington of Perry, Sean Harrington of Perry and Megan Harrington of Perry; grandchildren, Jesse Oliver Wheeler of Perry and Alley Elizabeth Thorpe of Panora; siblings, Robin (Phil) Conklin of Perry and Lisa Malone of Woodward; many nieces and nephews; co-workers; friends; and her cat, Boo-Boo.
