February 20, 2017

  • An officer spoke to someone regarding a past traffic citation.
  • An officer followed up with several residents regarding a structure fire from last week.
  • An officer took a report of an erratic driver entering town on Iowa Highway 17. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver, Janice Eich of Madrid, was cited for driving while suspended and released.
  • An officer assisted the Dallas County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa State Patrol with a bank alarm at a bank in Granger.
  • An officer spoke to an Iowa Department of Human Services worker regarding a past case.

February 21, 2017

  • An officer assisted in a medical call for a 4-year-old boy having a seizure and difficulty breathing.
  • An officer conducted a welfare check on a female. A neighbor reported her house window had been broken out. The female was okay.

February 22, 2017

  • An officer spoke to a resident regarding extra patrol around the residence.
  • An officer started a case regarding an assault.
  • An officer followed up with the State Fire Marshall’s Office regarding a past fire in Madrid.
  • An officer spoke to the Boone County Clerk of Court regarding a past traffic citation status.

February 23, 2017

  • An officer responded to the Madrid Home to assist in a medical call for an elderly female having difficulty breathing.
  • An officer responded to a report of a suicidal person. The distressed person was transported by the Boone County EMS to the Boone County Hospital.

February 24, 2017

  • An officer took a report of a vehicle burglary on Third Street.
  • An officer followed up with several residents regarding reported vehicle burglaries in the past week.
  • An officer assisted the Iowa State Patrol and the Boone County Sheriff’s office regarding someone who refused to stop for the Iowa State Patrol on a traffic stop. The person eventually stopped at a residence on Brodie Lane and ran inside. Dartaveus Moody of Des Moines was subsequently arrested and transported to the Boone County Jail for possession of controlled substance, eluding and possible OWI.
  • An officer spoke with someone at the Madrid Home regarding a driver’s license question.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
