March 1 deadline set for Bock Family Foundation grant apps

The Bock Family Foundation Inc. of Perry is accepting grant applications for its spring 2016 granting period, a foundation spokesperson announced Wednesday. Applications for the spring grant cycle must be postmarked or delivered to the foundation on or before March 1.

The Bock Family Foundation is a nonprofit supporting organization for the benefit of organizations operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes. Projects receiving funding must be located in Dallas County.

In the fall 2015 grant cycle, the foundation awarded about $58,000 to 27 projects.

The foundation awards grants in the spring and the fall, with application deadlines of March 1 and Sept. 1. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations or units of state or local government pursuant to Internal Revenue Service Code 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1).
