Funeral services for Marval Seeman, 94, of Webster City and formerly of the rural Bouton, Woodward and Perry area will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bouton. Burial will be in the Peoples Cemetery in rural Bouton. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Marval passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, in Webster City, Iowa,

Marval Jean was born Feb. 9, 1925, in rural Bouton, the daughter of Stephen and Minnie (Capp) Tierney.

She graduated from Bouton High School in 1942.

Marval worked for the Montgomery Ward store in Perry after graduating.

She married Eldon J. Seeman June 7, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

They farmed around the Bouton and Perry area until Eldon retired, and they moved to Perry.

Marval worked as a cashier and bookkeeper from 1955 to 1986 at the J. C. Penney store in Perry, later working part-time at Ben Franklin and Lake Robbins.

She loved making quilts for her family members.

She was an active church member and enjoyed visiting with neighbors, friends and family.

Marvel has lived the past six years in Webster City.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Dan) Baker of Webster City and Joyce (Dave) Gardiner of Johnston; grandchildren, Karen (Jeffrey) Albright of Fayetteville, New York, Matt (Keisha) Cretsinger of Huxley, Amanda (Kaelyn) Jennings of Cedar Rapids, Adam (Amanda) Gardiner of Dallas Center, Brad Baker of Clive and Jeff (Shawna) Baker of Boone; and great-grandchildren, Niyah and Griffin Cretsinger, Ariana (Hunter) Holland, Amya Lucas, Dominic, Cecelia and Quinn Gardiner and Cody Baker.

Memorials in Marval’s name may be left at or sent to Murdock Funeral Home in Perry.
