Marvin Janis, 76, of Ute, Iowa, and formerly of Perry passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 2 at 5 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be at a later date at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Left to cherish Marvin’s memory are his, children, Kevin Janis, and his wife, Tonya, Cortney Janis, and his wife, Jennifer, and Vannessa Janis; grandchildren, Travis, Ryan, Hunter, McKenzi and Taylor Janis; siblings, Mary (Gary) Jensen and Lucille Swenson; and many nieces and nephews.
