Funeral services for Mavis Struyk, 97, of Perry are set for 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at the First Christian Church in Perry. Burial will follow at the Violet Hill Cemetery. Visitation, with family greetings friends, will be from 10-11:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Mavis passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at the Eden Acres campus of the Perry Lutheran Homes.
Mavis is survived by her daughters, Maureen (Verle) Haglund of Perry, Coral (Randy) Sorenson of Elkhart and Marilyn (Chris) Paddock of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and son, John (Anant) Struyk III of Nashville, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Tina Kohlman, James Struyk, Brad (Lisa) Snedeker, Jonathan (Jessica) Snedeker, Thomas (Elizabeth) Erronis, Greg Haglund, Mollie (Curtis) Clark, Jeff Haglund, Brent (Amanda) Sorenson and Jerry (Allison) Sorenson; 14 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or Perry Fine Arts and may be sent to the Murdock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at murdockfuneralhome.net.
