Miriam Ferrusca, 56, of Perry passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at the MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
Miriam Ferrusca was born July 6, 1966, in Democracia Escuintla, Guatemala, to Froilan and Elva (Diaz) Perez- Portillo.
She moved to California in 1990 to create a better life and met her husband. She was united in marriage to Eduardo in Los Angeles on February 14, 1994.
Miriam worked at Snack Club in California before moving to Perry in November 2004 and starting a job at Tyson Fresh Meats, which she worked at for 17 years.
She was excited for the birth of her kids and grandkids.
In death she rejoins her father, Froilan Perez-Portillo; grandmother, Cecilia Perez; and brother, Raul Perez.
Left to cherish Miriam’s memory are her husband, Eduardo Ferrusca-Truijillo; mother, Elva Perez-Portillo; children, Eduardo Jr. Ferrusca, Patricio Ferrusca, Karen Posadas and Marilu Diaz; grandchildren, Nadia Villa, Jimmie Posadas, Delayza Sampayo, Oscar Morales and Valerie Mendina; siblings, Roza Perez and Margarita Perez; and niece, Rubi Muro.

Trabajó en Snack Club en California, antes de mudarse a Perry en noviembre de 2004 y comenzar un trabajo en Tyson en el que trabajó durante 17 años.
Estaba emocionada por el nacimiento de sus hijos y nietos.
En la muerte se reúne con su padre, Froilán Pérez-Portillo, su abuela Cecilia Pérez y su hermano Raúl Pérez.
