Four-year-old Aysen, left, shows his latest creation from the Child Watch Program at the MCB. He and his sister, Aurora, 7, were kept company Monday by Directors Lori Lambert, right, and Terra Webb.

The Child Watch Program has started operations at the McCreary Community Building, with four-day-a-week services offered from 4-8 p.m.

Directors Terra Webb and Lori Lambert lead the service, which started Monday and has already supervised a number of youngsters. Adults may leave their children, aged 6 weeks to 8 years, in the care of Webb and Lambert for up to 90 minutes, which facilitates the adults’ exercise needs and provides a safe and engaging diversion for the children.

“We saw the need for this service and stepped in to fill it,” said Webb, a veteran educator with more than 15 years in Perry classrooms.
