Ogden Police Report August 19-25

August 19, 2019

  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist.
  • A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy received a report from an Ogden resident that his dog had gotten out of the house. The resident called back a short time later, advising that he had found his dog.
  • A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of four individuals running past an apartment building at 425 S.E. Second St. The deputy was unable to locate any individuals in the area.

August 20, 2019

  • An officer responded to a two-vehicle accident involving property damage. Joelle Consier, 16, of Ogden was driving a 2014 Chevrolet southbound in the 100 block of N.W. Fourth Street. Consier pulled away from the stop sign to go east on Walnut Street and did not see a 1993 Dodge, driven by Dennis Vonnahme, 70, of Ogden, who was westbound on Walnut Street. Damage to Consier’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000, and damage to the Vonnahme vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
  • The manager of a retail store reported a white male entered the store and left without paying for two items. The male got into a gray Ford F150 and left.
  • An officer removed a bat from a residence.
  • A resident at 301 S.W. Third St. reported someone was knocking on his windows. A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy was unable to locate anyone in the area.

August 21, 2019

  • Employees with Johnson and Sons Insurance reported finding a battery-powered hover board just south of office. A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy picked up the hover-board and took the item to Ogden Police Department.

August 22, 2019

  • An officer received a report of a loose dog.
  • An officer assisted someone with a bat in the house.
  • An officer assisted someone with a stranded vehicle in the 400 block of E. Walnut St.

August 23, 2019

  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders at 631A Haws Drive.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders at 101 E. Elm St.
  • A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 600 block of W. Locust Street for a loose-animal complaint.

August 24, 2019

  • A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy assisted the Ogden First Responders and the Boone County EMS at 413 E. Mulberry St.

August 25, 2019

  • An officer received a report of a reckless driver eastbound on 220th Street from Ogden. The vehicle was stopped by a Boone Police Department Officer at Kate Shelley Drive and 220th Street.
  • The manager of a retail store reported a vehicle was parking on the property without permission. An officer had the communications center try to make contact with owner of vehicle. A message was left on the owner’s answering machine.
  • An officer was called to an Ogden residence to assist someone with an oxygen machine. The officer plugged the oxygen machine in so the battery could charge. The caller refused medical attention. A family friend stayed with the caller until a family member arrived.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
