June 24, 2019

  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 200 block of Haws Drive. There was less than $1,500 damage, so no state report was filed.
  • An officer met with owner of Scott Carnival and assisted with locations to park until they could start setting up Tuesday afternoon.
  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business. The building was secure. This was determined to be a false alarm.

June 25, 2019

  • A Casey’s employee reported a gas drive-off that occurred over the weekend. The person used a Fuel Saver card, so the officer was able to contact the individual.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
  • An officer contacted the owner of residence with a lawn that needed mowed.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a domestic situation at 201 First St. in Pilot Mound.
  • An officer received a report of two people with bags sitting at N.W. Third and Maple streets. The people just quit working for the carnival and were waiting for a ride from Fort Dodge.

June 26, 2019

  • An officer was asked to remove a deer from the road that had been hit near the Laurel Lane and 216th Street intersection.
  • An officer received a complaint about a dog that acts aggressively toward a neighbor’s dog. The officer spoke with the owner of the aggressive dog.
  • An officer received a report about an older male in an older silver Chevrolet truck who appeared to be following a high school student while he was out running. This happened two hours before the officer was notified. The officer was unable to locate a similar truck in the area.
  • An officer spoke with an Ogden resident in regards to a lawn needing mowed.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a sex offender registry violation.
  • An Ogden resident called an officer to report that he could see someone walking around his property taking pictures and wearing a safety vest. The officer spoke with the person, who was working with the Boone County Assessor’s office.

June 27, 2019

  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
  • An officer returned a call to a person who wanted to know about blocking off parking around the Masonic Lodge for a gathering on Saturday.
  • An Ogden resident reported that her dog got away from her and was dragging its leash. The resident called back a short time later and advised she caught the dog.
  • An Ogden resident reported catching a white shepherd/husky mix that was running loose in the 400 block of N.W. Seventh Street. An officer took the dog to the city kennel.

June 28, 2019

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of vehicle.
  • An officer received a complaint about vehicles parking in alley and blocking access. The officer asked the drivers of the vehicles to move.
  • An Ogden resident reported being harassed via text messages.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders.
  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 300 block of N.W. Second Street. There was less than $1,500 damage, so no state report was filed.
  • Ashley Stauffer reported that her black dog got out of the house and was not wearing a collar.
  • An officer arrested Ashley Vaughn, 33, of Ogden on a Boone County Warrant.
  • Officers did a welfare check on an Ogden resident. The person was not home.
  • Desiree Padgett reported that her brown/white Husky dog got loose.

June 29, 2019

  • Joe Erwin reported that he lost his cellular phone while at the Ogden City Park.
  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 700 block of W. Mulberry Street.
  • An officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W. Walnut Street.
  • An officer assisted with traffic control for a funeral escort.
  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist in the 500 block of S. First Street.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders at 532 S. First St.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a vehicle in the ditch in the 600 block of 230th Street.
  • An officer responded to 822 N. First St. for a child out of control.

June 30, 2019

  • An officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W. Walnut Street.
  • An officer received a lost cell phone from a Ogden citizen.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
