September 19, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint about a dog running loose near Howe School while children were entering the building. The officer spoke with the owner of the dog and said the dog needs to be tied up.
  • An officer received a report of a male subject at an Ogden residence whom the owner of the residence did not want on her property. The officer located the subject, advised him to stay off the property and warned that if he returned, he would be cited for trespassing.
  • An officer received a complaint about employees of downtown businesses parking in front of other businesses. The officer spoke with owners and workers at several businesses and asked that workers park on side streets or in the 400 block of W. Walnut Street.
  • An officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • An officer responded to an incomplete 911 from an Ogden residence. The officer called the Ogden Telephone Company and advised them of the problem. They were going to send a technician out to check.

September 20, 2016

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of a vehicle.
  • An officer received a complaint about property lines.
  • An officer was asked to check on a male juvenile who looked upset in the 300 block of N.E. Fourth Street. The male subject was fine and said he was just out thinking.
  • An officer received a complaint about a gap in the railroad crossing on N.W. Seventh Street. The officer had the Ogden Street Department close the N.W. Seventh Street crossing.

September 21, 2016

  • An officer assisted a probation officer with a check of a client’s residence. The officer arrested Jacob James McIntyre, 33, of Des Moines for alleged possession of a controlled substance. The officer cited and released Jessica Meeks, 34, of Pilot Mound for alleged possession of marijuana.
  • Jennifer Adams reported theft of jewelry from her residence.

September 22, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint about vandalism to a garage located north of the Ogden Middle School. Someone painted inappropriate pictures on the east side of the garage.

September 23, 2016

  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 500 block of S.W. Fifth Street.
  • An officer investigated vandalism in the 500 block of E. Oak Street.
  • An officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 432 E. Maple St.

September 24, 2016

  • An officer received a report of a missing dog.
  • An officer assisted a Polk County Deputy with a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Polk County. The officer located the driver of the vehicle at 966 H Ave. and detained him for Polk County.
  • An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Casey’s car wash. The officer arrested Aaron Nigro, 20, of Boone for alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

September 25, 2016

  • An officer assisted the Boone County heriff’s office, Iowa State Patrol, Ogden Fire Department, Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a four-vehicle accident involving personal injury in the 500 block of 220th Street.
  • An officer responded to intrusion alarms at Howe Elementary School. The school was secure, and no one was around the building.
  • An officer responded to a report of loud music at 208 N.E. Third Street. The owner of the residence was advised to turn the music down.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
