Public Service Announcement from the Ogden Police Department: The new 35 mph speed zone is in effect from Division Street to south of overpass. There is now a Your Speed radar at south side of bridge coming north into town.

September 26, 2016

  • An officer responded to 208 N.E. Third Street regarding a domestic assault that took place in the county. The officer backed up Boone County Deputy Sheriffs.
  • An officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
  • Ogden Police Department officers and a Boone County Deputy arrested Ronnie Dickerson, 53, of Ogden on an arrest warrant.

September 27, 2016

  • An officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
  • An officer received a complaint about property not returned to an employer. The officer spoke with the former employee, who said the property was just mailed back.
  • Ogden High School staff called to report a dog running loose on school property. The officer contacted the owner to come and get the dog.
  • An officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

September 28, 2016

  • An Ogden resident reported that her 12-year-old son never came home from school. The officer located the boy a short time later and advised him to go right home.
  • An officer responded to a lifeline call at an Ogden residence. The subject was fine and just hit his button accidentally.

September 29, 2016

  • An officer was asked to check on a portable dog kennel sitting east of H Avenue on 220th Street. The kennel was empty. An Iowa Department of Transportation truck picked up the kennel as the officer was about to take it.

September 30, 2016

  • An Ogden resident wanted officer to stop by because he found some old ammunition that he wanted to get rid of.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a domestic situation at 961 170th St.

October 1, 2016

  • An officer picked up a stray dog in the 300 block of S.E. Fourth St. The officer returned the dog to its owner.
  • An officer handled an illegal burning complaint.
  • An officer arrested Doug Shreve in the 400 block of S. First St. for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-third offense and allegedly driving on the wrong side of a two-way street.
  • An officer picked up a stray dog in the city.

October 2, 2016

  • An officer checked on an abandoned vehicle in the 300 block of East Sycamore Street.
  • An officer handled a property dispute at 332 E Walnut St.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of harassment at the city park.
  • An officer received a complaint of dogs barking in the 600 block of S.W. Fourth Street.
