A motorist was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines Sunday morning after the vehicle the driver was operating left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal near 180th Street and entered a wooded area alongside a creek.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Granger First Responders, Granger Volunteer Fire Department, Woodward First Responders, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the single-vehicle accident about 8:45 a.m.
The passenger vehicle appeared to leave the eastbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 and careen through the south ditch and into the wooded area just south of Miner Supply in the 17000 block of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal.
The incident was investigated by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
