Pattees announce retirement sale at Panora Ben’s Five and Dime

Ben’s Five and Dime and Pattee Dry Goods will begin a liquidation sale Thursday, Oct. 14.

Jay and Jan Pattee will host a liquidation sale in their Ben’s Five and Dime store in Panora beginning Thursday. The Perry residents recently announced their retirement and aim to close the Panora store Dec. 22.

The Pattees opened the Panora branch of Ben’s Five and Dime in 1998, an extension of their successful Perry dime store that they owned and operated from 1983 to 2019.

The retirement will begin Thursday and end Wednesday, Oct. 20. More than $2,000 in prizes will be awarded at the end of the sale. Customers may fill out a coupon to enter the drawing.
