The Dallas County Sheriff’s office has identified the victim of Monday’s pedestrian fatality at the Woodward-Granger High School parking lot as Charlie Brewer, 7, of Bouton.

The driver of the vehicle that came in contact with Brewer was identified as Robert Nevitt, 47, of Perry.

“The preliminary investigation of this accident suggests that there was no intention by Nevitt to strike the child,” the sheriff’s statement said. “While the investigation is ongoing, there have been no charges filed in this accident at this time. We continue to ask for privacy and support for the family of Charlie Brewer as they deal with this tragedy.”

  1. Why did he have to leave us? He was too young. As a student that goes to this school, whenever I see the parking lot I tear up. My prayers go out to the Brewers. Rest In Peace Charlie <3
