Jose Wilmer Alexis Ordonez Corleto, 25, of Perry was arrested Thursday on charges of two counts of first-degree harassment and interference with officials acts.

A Perry man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly threatening to kill a Perry woman and her family as well as officers of the Perry Police Department.

Jose Wilmer Alexis Ordonez Corleto, 25, of 1803 First Ave., Perry, was charged with two counts of first-degree harassment and interference with officials acts.

The incident began about 8:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Fourth Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim, who said that Ordonez Corleto “had been drinking and asked to speak with her” and allegedly “then began to threaten to kill her family,” according to court records.

The victim told the officers that Ordonez Corleto made the threat and then proceeded toward “the kitchen,” where “the knives were located,” according to court records.

The officers held Ordonez Corleto “at taser point,” and he “pulled and turned away several times” when the officers “told him to turn around and place his hands behind his back,” according to court records.

While the officers were speaking with the victim, a witness allegedly “observed and heard” Ordonez Corleto say, “‘I want to kill these fuckers’ in Spanish, referring to officers on scene,” according to court records.

The witness also told the officers that when Ordonez Corleto was being led from the residence, he allegedly “stated in Spanish, ‘He who does him dirty, pays for it,'” which the witness interpreted “as a threat,” according to court records.

The victim told the officers “that she was fearful for her safety and the safety of her family,” according to court records.

Ordonez Corleto was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

Ordonez Corleto was arrested in Perry in January on a charge of third-degree harassment. The case is pending in Dallas County District Court.
