April 22, 2024
- Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 1600 block of Fourth Street. Three tires were damaged. The case is under investigation.
- A 14-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a charge of second-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.
- A 15-year-old male from Des Moines was arrested on a charge of first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.
- A 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, registered to and driven by Morgen Ann Hart of 765 Seventh Ave., Coon Rapids, collided with a 2010 Chevy Silverado pickup, registered to and driven by Robert Charles Heath of 2788 100th St., Jefferson, at the intersection of First Avenue and Iowa Highway 141. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,150.
- A 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup, registered to and driven by Barbara Ann Field of 2617 McKinley St., Perry, collided with a 1996 U.S. Postal Service mail truck, driven by Jeffrey Alexander Fuentes of 1416 Otley Ave., Perry, near the intersection of 11th and Warford streets. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,300. Field was issued a citation for failure to obey a yield sign.

- Joseph Robert Buchmiller, 42, of 214 S.W. Sixth St., Ogden, was arrested on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
