  • A caller said someone “threatened her and her father” in a voicemail message. An officer responded.
  • An emergency room nurse at the Dallas County Hospital requested assistance with an unruly patient. An officer responded and assisted until the arrival of a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said her brother “was getting threats from a girl” that “if he did not send her money, she would post a video of him” in which the brother “is pretty much naked.” An officer responded and learned the person seeking to extort money “possibly resides in the Philippines.” The officer advised the woman to advise her brother “to contact all the social media sites about the problem he is having with the female in an attempt to stop the video if it is released.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a dog she found running at large. An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
