  • A caller said “that a small child had locked the vehicle with the keys in it.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “that she had bought a vehicle from” a local shop, but “they hadn’t given her the title.” The woman asked “to speak with an officer to figure out what she needs to do.” An officer responded.
  • A woman was issued a citation for unlawful passing of a school bus.
  • A caller from a local bank said a cashier’s check “has been returned as altered or fraudulent.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he “ex” went “to California” and “is now stating that she is going to come back and get the children.” An officer responded and “advised him to contact an attorney concerning custody issues.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department taught a DARE class at the Perry Elementary School.
  • A caller from the Perry Elementary School said a fourth grade student “refused to get on the bus and is refusing to leave with his parents.” An officer responded, and the child “decided to comply with the principal and the parents’ order to walk himself out of the school.”
  • A caller from a local group home said “she was attacked by one of the clients.” An officer responded, and the client voluntarily agreed to be transported to the Dallas County Hospital.
  • A caller said “his estranged wife” came to his residence “uninvited and took their child.” An officer responded and made contact with both parties.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
