August 6, 2018

  • A caller said “she heard screaming coming from the trailer to the right.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “money was taken from the cash register.” He said the “estimated loss was $65.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he is running out of clothes and needs to pick up some more.” An officer responded and said he would “stand by while he picks up some clothes.”
  • A caller said someone stole his cell phone. An officer responded.
  • A caller said her 17-year-old brother was “with a girl.” The caller said her parents would like “an officer’s assistance in getting their son back.” An officer responded, and the brother was “returned to his parents.”
  • A caller said someone “left Saturday night to go do laundry and has not returned home.” The caller said “he has done this in the past but is always home by Monday.” An officer responded “and obtained further information.”
  • A caller reported the theft of items from a truck and a building. An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she is cleaning out her sister’s property and found a drug pipe.” An officer responded, “picked up a metal pipe and logged it into evidence.”
  • A caller said “a person stopped by about 30 minutes ago offering free gas.” The caller said he “wasn’t sure if he had a permit.” An officer responded but did not find the gas peddler.
  • A caller reported a dog “with no shelter.” An officer responded and determined the dog had “access to shelter” and “had food and water” as well as a “fan blowing” to “keep the dog cool.”

August 7, 2018

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department recovered an abandoned bicycle. The item was “placed in the bike shed.”
  • A caller reported “issues with his wife.” The caller said “he did not want his wife to stay at the apartment” because “she is drama when she drinks.” An officer responded and explained that an officer “can’t kick her out.” The caller said “he would stay with a friend for the night.”
  • A caller said her dog was lost.
  • A caller said “the person she is staying with took pictures of her kids and believes she may have given them medication.” Officers responded and “checked the kids, and they seemed okay and deep asleep,” and “everything checked out okay.”
  • A caller said “the person she is staying with keeps hugging her and telling her to sit down.” She said “the woman did not let her go to her room.” An officer responded, and “the lady was advised to leave” the caller “alone and let her go lay down with her kids.”
  • Acaller said “she needed an officer at the Dallas County Hospital due to a report she had made previously about her kids and medication.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
