  • A caller said “someone gave his wife a fake $100 bill” at a local retail store. An officer responded.
  • A caller said she “saw a kitchen knife in a flower bed by the dentist office” while “walking her dog.” An officer responded and took possession of the item, which was “logged into evidence.”
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department “responded to Hy-Vee for Police Night Out.”
  • A caller said a 9-year-old “neighbor girl came running to his house and advised someone was looking in her window.” The caller said the child “was home alone.” An officer responded and made contact with the child, who “said a guy in a white car drove by really slow then came back around and went up to her door” and “looked in her kitchen window.” The officer made contact with “other witnesses,” who “said that they saw the male pick up another male a block or two away.” The officer patrolled the area.
  • A caller “requested a welfare check on his 2-year-old son.” The caller said “he just got a voicemail saying they found his son running in the street but was returned to his mother.” An officer responded.

August 8, 2018

  • A 16-year-old male from Perry was issued a citation for third-offense curfew violation.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department made contact with a curfew violator “and discovered a fake $100 bill in his possession.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
