  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • A caller “requested to speak with an officer about a death threat she received.” The caller said someone “sent her harassing messages” on Facebook. An officer responded, inspected the messages and “observed” that the caller “sent messages to” someone, “harassing her as well.” The officer “explained” to the caller that she “cannot harass” the other party “either.” The officer attempted to make contact with the other party.
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large. An officer responded and assisted the owner in catching one of the dogs. The second dog remains at large.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he was “concerned for his new roommate who is having mental issues.” An officer responded and made contact with the roommate, who “appeared to be okay and in normal mental health.”
  • A caller reported “someone stealing their ladder.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone had made fraudulent purchases on her account.” An officer responded.
  • A 17-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer assisted a student “who is afraid to go home because her mother is abusive.” The student was “planning to spend the night at a friend’s residence tonight.” The officer made contact with the mother, who “agreed to her spending the night at her father’s.”
  • A caller said he observed a vehicle in “is neighbor’s driveway.” He said “a female jumped out of the vehicle, grabbed an Amazon package off the porch, got back into the vehicle and left.” An officer responded and learned “the caller now thought it might have been the home owner’s daughter who stopped and took the package off of the porch.”
  • A caller said a suspicious person “with a bald head was going door to door. trying to sell vacuums.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her “daughter is threatening to burn down the house.” An officer responded, but the daughter left before the officer arrived.
  • A 17-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of prescription drugs.
  • A caller said “it sounded like there was someone messing with one her window screens.” The caller “said that she then heard someone shuffling around.” An officer responded and “looked at the window and did not see any signs of someone trying to gain entry.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
