  • A caller said “someone poured sugar in her gas tank last night.” An officer responded.
  • Someone entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “reported there was a pole that was split in half, and the only thing holding it was the wires.” An officer “responded and noticed this.” The officer notified Alliant Energy.
  • Shawntal Ohannessian, 21, 500 Fourth St., #4A, Perry, was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance-accident related.
  • Tin Maung Tun, 42, 3901 Bel Air Road, Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI and issued citations for violation of instruction permit and failure to obey a yield sign.
  • A caller said “he’s in the process of moving his business,” but “the new owner of the building is not allowing him to remove his belongings from the basement of the building.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his black 4-month-old dachshund puppy” was missing. A short time later, a couple entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a puppy matching the description of the missing puppy and said they “found the dog in the area of Eighth Street and Iowa Highway 141.”
  • A caller said “her grandson was flying a drone in her yard,” and the drone “flew over the car wash and disappeared.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
