  • A caller said “there was someone trying to knock down his door, and his wife was drunk and trying to open it.” Officers responded. While officers were en route, a second caller reported a domestic assault at the residence of the first caller.
  • A caller said a vehicle “appeared to have slid out of the driveway and was halfway into the street.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to speak with an officer “about protective orders.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she found an injured black and white cat,” and she “wanted an officer to come and take it to a shelter.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A wirless 911 caller from outside the city limits of Perry reported “a suspicious person at their residence.” The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller said someone “sent his son a video on Snapchat that was threatening to harm him” and “saying if he ever saw him on the street, he would ‘kill him.'” An officer responded and made contact with the person’s mother and probation officer.
  • A caller from a local retail store reported “a man standing outside” who “looked cold” and “had been there for the few hours she had been shopping.” A second caller from the same store reported seeing the same man and said “that he may have some sort of mental impairment.” An officer responded and made contact with the man, who “was okay, just waiting for a friend.”
  • A caller said “there is a man on the roof of the house” nearby, and “he is mentally impaired.” Officers responded and “determined that the individual was trying to get a stuffed animal that his brother threw on the roof.”
  • A 911 caller from the Dallas County Hospital asked to speak with an officer. An officer responded and learned from a nurse that the caller “was a patient that was a bit delusional,” and there was no emergency.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department received a report of a phone scam from a citizen.
  • A caller said three dogs were running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dogs.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he had a gun pulled on him on the highway.” An officer responded, “determined this occurred in Dallas County’s jurisdiction” and advised the man to make contact with the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller reported a vehicle “in their driveway that is not theirs.” The caller “said his wife is disturbed by it, and it has been happening for a while.” An officer responded.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department issued 23 citations to vehicles parked in violation of the city snow ordinance.
  • A caller said “his car had gone off the road and into the ditch.” There were no injuries. An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
