  • A caller said “her 28-year-old daughter was in labor.” The Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department issued a citation to a vehicle parked in violation of the city snow ordinance.
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital “requested housing assistance for the day” for someone who “was brought in” to the emergency room “due to being outside too long in the cold.” An officer responded and “made contact with the Perry Ministerial Association for assistance.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to report a male blowing snow onto the street.” The woman said “the male blew a lot of snow at her car as she passed, and he laughed about it.” An officer responded, made contact with the male and “spoke to him about our city ordinance.”
  • Paul Gene Kenyon of 1610 Third St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense dog at large.
  • A caller asked to speak with an officer “about a creepy guy that was trying to talk to her kid.” An officer responded.
  • Juan Carlos Aquino Rodriguez, 32, 2801 First Ave., #57, Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller from a local restaurant said “a disgruntled customer hit a sign in their parking lot and tried backing up into” the caller. An officer responded and made contact with the customer, who said “he was asked to pull over to the side as they were waiting for a portion of his food,” and he “became frustrated and rapidly accelerated.” He said that when he tried to stop, “his vehicle slid on the snow that was in the parking lot, causing him to slide into the pole” and “causing the pole to bend over.” Damage to the pole was estimated at $30. There was no damage to the vehicle.
  • A wireless 911 caller said “her electricity went out, and she didn’t know what to do.” The caller was told a dispatcher “will call her back on the administration line so as not to take up an emergency line.” The dispatcher “caller her back and advised her to call Alliant Energy.” An officer was advised.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
