  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • Taylon, Kinkennon, 21, of Bouton was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of a credit card.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller said housebreakers “are back at my place.” An officer responded and found “no one in the area.”
  • A caller said “he could hear people outside his apartment door, talking about breaking in.” An officer responded and found no one.
  • A caller said “someone backed into her vehicle sometime today while parked.” An officer responded.
  • An officer with the Indianola Police Department said someone “recently broke up with her boyfriend,” and someone is now “making comments to burn her house down.” The caller said “the couple resided in Perry in the past, and he may attempt to burn that house down,” but it was “unknown what the address is.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital said a patient “who is intoxicated walked out of the hospital about 10 minutes ago.” The caller said “they were concerned for his welfare since he is intoxicated.” Officers responded and made contact with the intoxicated patient at his residence, and “he stated he was fine.” Officers recommended he “not leave his property.”
  • A caller reported “an injured raccoon” that “walked into the backyard.” An officer responded and found the raccoon “didn’t appear to be severely injured” because it “ran away upon arrival.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she lived in the apartment building that caught on fire,” and “people who didn’t live in the building keep going on the property.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported seeing “a man wearing a hat with blue and red light on” it and with “a flashlight.” The caller said she “thought he was looking in people’s windows.” An officer responded and made contact with the man, who “was reading gas meters in the area.”
  • A caller said she “thinks she just heard the door open” to the “outside cellar,” and she “thinks someone may be in the cellar.” Officers responded and determined “the inside door to the cellar had not been messed with.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
