  • A caller reported a suspicious person in a neighboring residence. An officer responded and made contact with the person, who was “just doing monthly inspection to the home. All okay.”
  • A caller said “he sees smoke coming out of the roof” of an apartment house. An officer responded and determined what the caller saw was “no fire, just steam rising off the vents.”
  • A caller said “she believes a customer in” a local retail store “is intoxicated and driving” because the customer “smells like alcohol.” An officer responded, but the customer was gone.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “that someone had gone into his car last night and took the radio.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she was bitten by a cat and “was currently at the doctor’s.” An officer responded and “advised her to stop in when she was done.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he is being harassed at work, at home and on his phone by his ex-girlfriend.” An officer responded and discussed options.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
