January 24, 2017

  • A caller reported “a semi that tried to run him off the road.” Officers responded and “stopped the semi.” The semi driver said the caller “pulled out in front of him on the highway.” The officers advised the semi driver “to be aware of his surroundings and be more cautious.”
  • A caller asked “to speak with an officer regarding her husband,” who was “mentally disturbed.” An officer responded.
  • Justin Kenneth Jacobson, 21, 2920 Kading Road, Perry, was arrested on a charge of second-degree theft.
  • A caller said “a student had stolen her phone and (she) knows who it is.” An officer responded.
  • Jeremy Alan Culbertson, 45, 1419 Sixth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of driving while barred, driving while revoked and two counts of driving while suspended.
  • A caller “requested an officer respond and review a video they have of an altercation that took place in their parking lot.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a ladder lying in the eastbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141.” An officer responded and found the “ladder had been removed.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said her dog was missing. The woman later called and said her dog was found.

January 25, 2017

  • Between midnight and 6:30 a.m., two officers of the Perry Police Department issued citations for violations of the city snow ordinance to 80 vehicles parked on city streets.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a dog he caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
