Jan. 3, 2024

  • Mellisa Dawn Sorto, 36, of 2801 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.
  • Rusty Lee Curtis Lewis, 37, of 2801 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Osiris Valerie Valente Salgado, 18, of 1007 Dewey Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • An unknown vehicle struck a legally parked 2010 Mitsubishi Galant, registered to Yazmin Alvarez of 700 18th St., Perry, No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

Jan. 4, 2024

  • Officers received a report of criminal mischief in the 1900 block of Fifth Street. A vehicle’s window was  broken out. Damage was estimated at $250.
  • A 2000 Honda Civic, registered to Jose Amilcar Lopez Sanchez of 1804 Pine St., Perry, and driven by Jennifer Samantha Lopez Perez of 1804 Pine St., Perry, collided with a 2011 Volkswagen Routan, registered to and driven by Flor Del Trans Campos Vasquez of 2801 First Ave., Perry, near the intersection of 18th and North streets. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

Jan. 5, 2024

  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Seventh Street. Upon arrival, the officers found it was not a domestic, and everything was fine.
  • Karry Lynn Ferguson, 44, of 2412 Lucinda St., Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A 2019 Ford Fusion, registered to and driven by Tonya Sue Swank of 1112 Paul St., Perry, collided with a 2007 Honda Civic, registered to Juan Romero Alvarenga of 923 W. Fourth St., Perry, and driven by Mirna Guadalupe Izquierdo De Alvarenga of 923 W. Sixth St., Perry, in the 2300 block of Willis Avenue. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $800.

Jan. 6, 2024

  • Marlon Alberto Balbuena-Mendez, 27, of 1408 W. Second St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.

Jan. 7, 2024

  • Officers received a report of a burglary in the 1300 block of Second Street. The case is under investigation.
