  • A caller said his neighbors’ “several dogs” have been “outside barking since 7:30 this morning.” An officer was advised.
  • A Dallas County Deputy Sheriff said “he hit a deer on Iowa Highway 141 just east of Dawson” and “needed an accident report completed.” An officer “responded and completed the report.”
  • A caller said his son “has not been seen or heard from since Tuesday morning,” but “someone put his Iowa driver’s license in their mailbox.” An officer responded and located the son.
  • A caller said her cat was lost.
  • A caller said “the back of her trailer was on fire.” Officers responded, and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.
  • Connie Woods was issued a citation for first-offense dog at large.
  • A caller said “he just had someone who tried to give him a fake bill.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her debit card had been taken, and money was taken from her account.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she believes her dog was taken.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a woman “chased him with the knife on the bike trail.” Officers responded but did not find the woman with the knife. The caller said “he did not know where she went.”
  • Melody Lynn Dougan, 42, 1901 Eighth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller from Minburn said “that someone had just come to her door and offered her money for sex.” The caller was “transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.”
  • A caller said “he has a cat in a trap.” An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
