  • A caller “requested an officer due to a break in that had occurred.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on “his former wife” and “their three children” because “she did not show up at the agreed upon time.” An officer responded and made contact with the former wife, “who was fine” and was “just preparing to leave.”
  • A caller said she received a call from someone who “claimed to be from the IRS and advised her she had a warrant for her arrest.” An officer responded and determined it was a scam phone call.
  • A caller said “his bike has been stolen.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “an elderly man on Iowa Highway 141 on a scooter.” The caller said the man on the scooter “nearly got clipped by a semi.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “reported his motorcycle helmet missing.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her son’s bike was stolen.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he was assaulted.” An officer responded, and the caller “declined to have charges filed againt” his assailant.
  • A caller “said she is being harassed by a group of girls.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “said he had information on a person on the sex offender registry.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said his dog was lost. The caller called again and said his dog was found.
  • A caller said “there have been six to eight bikes left in the bushes behind her residence over the past two months.” The caller said “she believes someone is stealing them and leaving them there.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “people setting off fireworks three houses north of her.” An officer responded but “did not witness any fireworks being shot off.”
  • Teresa James was issued a citation for first-offense noise ordinance.
  • A caller reported “someone setting off fireworks in the area.” An officer responded and found the area “all quiet.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “a bike was just stolen from his back porch.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “people across the street from her residence are setting of fireworks.” An officers responded and found the people were “setting off poppers, no fireworks.”
  • A caller reported “people setting off fireworks.” An officer responded and found the area “all quiet.”

July 3, 2018

  • Todd Bradley Harrill, 53, 327 Benton St., Boone, was arrested on charges of third-offense public intoxocation and interference with officials acts.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
