  • A caller said her neighbor “has been acting odd lately.” The caller said “she may want a trespass notice served to keep him out of her yard.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she cannot get into her car.” The caller said “she has her keys but can’t get it open.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “an officer was at his house yesterday, and he wanted to see what was going on.” The man “was advised the officer had been there looking for someone who lived there prior” and “everything was fine.”
  • A caller said “he got a phone call from someone asking for money for his grandson, who was in an accident in Rhode Island.” An officer responded and “spoke with him about the scam.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and requested to talk to an officer “concerning her brother who does not live in Perry.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “a resident who was admitted to their facility on Friday found someone has been using his debit card.” The caller said the resident “was in the hospital two months prior to being admitted” and “has not used his card.” An officer responded and determined that “since his home address was in Des Moines along with his bank and where the card was used, that they need to report this to the Des Moines Police Department to investigate.”
  • A caller requested a welfare check on her sister, “who has not been feeling well lately.” An officer responded and made contact with the sister, who was “found to be okay.”
  • A caller said “a cat was in his backyard near the fence” that “looks like it may have gotten in a fight.” An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A wireless 911 caller said “he was just stabbed with a knife.” Officers responded and learned the caller “and some friends were talking” when “a verbal disagreement” occurred, and someone “pulled out a knife” on the caller and “stated he would stab him.”
  • A caller said “her daughter” was “keeping a dog at her house” because the “previous owner” did “not want the dog anymore.”
  • Someone entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a debit card found in a local bank ATM. An officer responded and made contact with the owner of the card.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
