  • Montgomery Carl Lamont, 48, 1620 E. Lacona Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on charges of failure to affix drug stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and providing false identification information and on a Polk County warrant for parole violation on a original charge of manufacture, deliver, conspire or possess with intent-methamphetamine.
  • Josephine Hazel Lamont, 39, 3234 Indianapolis Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on charges of failure to affix drug stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and first-offense possession of a controlled substance-cannabis oil.
  • A caller reported a suspicious “suitcase underneath a woman’s car.” The caller “just thought it was odd.” An officer responded, located the suspicious suitcase and “left it there in the event someone was looking for it.”
  • A caller said “the bank called him” and “advised there is a fictitous check in the deposit.” The caller said he “wants to talk to an officer about his options.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone “is there fighting with the ex-girlfriend” and “getting threatening with her and making employees uncomfortable.” An officer responded.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department removed nine signs “from the public right of way around the downtown area” that were “advertisements for a job opening in various trades.” The officer made contact with an employee of an employment agency in West Des Moines, who said “his manager placed them out and would pick them up.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was informed by a resident “that he was involved in a minor accident” in Perry Jan. 28, and “neither party reported it at the time.” The officer told the citizen that “a call for service” would be recorded, “but no report could be made due to the delay in the report.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller from the Jefferson Police Department said “they had a subject in custody who’s been providing them informartion on suspicious activity going on in Perry.” The caller said he “wanted to verify with someone.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his mother went to collect rent,” and someone “began yelling at his mom” and “raised his hand as if he was going to strike his mom, but he didn’t.” The caller said someone “used to be an ex-Marine.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his neighbor’s water is leaking into his property.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested a welfare check on her nephew, who is over at her property.” The caller called again and said “she had made contact with him.” Officers were disregarded.
  • A caller said “a resident at their facility” was “not cooperating” and “has been violent and aggressive toward his wife.” Officers responded, and the Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller said someone “has been gone for 40 minutes, and his parents want officers to be on the lookout for him.” Officers were advised.
  • A caller said “she was helping her brother when a guy from across the street broke into her car, put a note on the windshield and kicked the door.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
