April 30, 2018

  • A caller said her cousin sent her a message “advising her to send money to this guy in Georgia. There is a reward of $90,000, but she has to send $1,500 first.” An officer responded and told the caller “this was a scam,” and “there would be no reward in the end.” The caller said “she would call her cousin” and “advise her that it is not true.”
  • The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer and an administrator of the Perry High School attempted “to get a juvenile male to school at his mother’s request.” The student “went to school.”
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer reponded and returned the dog to its owner.
  • The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer reported “a fight at the school,” and the fighters “got separated and no longer was in process.”
  • A caller said “she was cleaning her house and believes she found more drugs that belong to her brother.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone “abuses her medication” and “also smokes marijuana” and an “investigation should be opened on her.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “there are two puppies that are in the shed all day, and she is worried about that.” The caller said “she is tired of her neighbors mistreating them.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “four small children playing.” An officer responded and found “no children outside in the area.”
  • A caller said “she locked herself out of her residence.” The caller called again and “said her landlord is responding.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and returned the dog to its fenced-in yard.

May 1, 2018

  • A caller said “she was closing up at” a local business and “was having problems getting the door locked.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone was in her back garage,” and “the other person took off.” Officers responded and found evidence of “forced entry to walk-in door.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
